Our Week in Review - March 23 - 27

This week we began our pet unit! We started off the week by graphing whether or not we had a pet.

We read several stories about pet fish. Then, as a class we labeled a fish on the SMART Board. Finally, students had a chance to build a fish bowl and label their own fish!

We also sorted and labeled what fish need on the SMART Board.

In readers workshop, we practiced organizing our books with book boxes!

I hope you all have a wonderful spring break!

Mrs. Koscielniak

Our Week in Review - March 16 - 20

We wrapped our Dr. Seuss theme this week! I have to say it is probably my favorite theme we do :)

Students sorted and graphed goldfish after we read "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish."

We made patterns with Dr. Seuss characters.

After we read "The Foot Book," students drew opposites!

Darius' opposites (big and little)
Luke's opposites (heavy and light)
Madelyn's opposites (dry and wet)
Anna's opposites (girl and boy)
We ended our theme with a Dr. Seuss Celebration!

Our Mystery Readers came on Friday!

Reagan's Mommy was our AM Mystery Reader
Claire's sister, Ella, was our PM Mystery Reader
I hope you all have lovely stay home days!

Our Week in Review - March 2 - 14

We have been having a lot of too much fun with Dr. Seuss the past two weeks!

We read "Put Me in the Zoo" and wrote about what we would do if someone put us in the zoo!

We read "The Cat in the Hat" and wrote about what we would do if Thing 1 and Thing 2 showed up at our door!

We also created our own hats!

We enjoyed a special Dr. Seuss themed snack on Friday (AM)!
