K4 “Mystery Reader”
“Mystery Reader” is an additional opportunity for you to read in your child’s classroom. Reading books “aloud” is an important part of literacy development. It is exciting for children to have a variety of people model reading. This is your chance to share your love of reading with our classroom!
Here is how it works:
1. Sign up for a “Mystery Reader” time. “Mystery Readers” will read on Fridays at 9:15 AM for the morning class and at 1:15 PM for the afternoon class.
2. Please, do not tell your child if you are coming to be the “Mystery Reader”. This would take the fun and “mystery” out of this special time. Sign in at the office and the office staff will announce to the class that a “Mystery Reader” is coming to our room. We will then be waiting for your arrival in the classroom!
3. Please bring your choice of a short picture book appropriate for our K4’s. If you would like suggestions, just ask your child’s teacher!
