We started the week by reading one of my all time favorite books, "The Kissing Hand." After we read the story, we read the kissing hand you made for your child - everyone loved hearing words of love and encouragement from their parents.
Once we were done reading, we made our own Chester!
Elliott, Alissyn, Mya, and Finley making Chester.
On the first day with everyone, we read "Pete the Cat: Rocking in my School Shoes." We then followed clues that Pete left us and practiced walking through the hallways. In room 116 we put our hands on our hips and have bubble lips. This keeps us from touching anything in the hallway and talking to our friends. If we see someone that we know, we give them a smile and a wave and keep walking!
Walking up the stairs - one hand on the railing, two feet on the stairs.
Walking down the stairs on the right hand side.
Practicing our hands on our hips.
Reading a note from Pete outside of the library.

Friday was blue day. We read "Blueberries for Sal." Then, we made blueberry pies and ate blueberries for snack!

Monday is red day!
