This week in Writers Workshop we finally completed our nonfiction bears books! Students have been asking hourly when they get to bring them home and share them with their families. I told them after we reflect on our books they can bring them home!
We talked about the reflection checklist and students carefully went through their books page by page. After doing the reflection, some students realized they still had some editing to complete. I have been so impressed with the work they are doing! Our literacy coach, Mrs. Witkov, said it looks like K5 students wrote these books! Please celebrate your child's hard work!

Happy Mother's Day to all of you amazing moms! I hope that you feel celebrated on Sunday! I hope that you enjoy your gift from your child!

Everyone was really excited to begin their nonfiction bear writing! Some students wrote about one specific bear while others wrote about all bears. I am *so* impressed with how well everyone is doing writing their nonfiction book! We will continue to work on them for the next two weeks.
