A Week in Review - April 28 - May 2

We started off the week by going on a Bear Hunt! We headed through grass, a river, mud, a forest, a snowstorm and into a cave! We had a lot of fun retelling the story!

We also retold Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?

This week we started reading nonfiction books on bears. Students read the photographs with their partners to learn new things about bears! After we learn about each bear, students are going to write their own nonfiction book!

This week we read "A Pocket for Corduroy" and *sewed* our own pockets. Then, we put something special inside of our pocket.

We read *a lot* of nonfiction bears books and filled in a chart about each animal. I will post a picture of the completed chart next week.

We compared our bodies to different bears.

In math, we tasted and graphed our favorite gummy bears!

Our letter of the week next week is Ww (hi smiley, big line slides down, and up, and down, and up).

Donations for the Children's Hospital need to be to school by Friday, May 9th.

Enjoy your weekend!

Love,
