Our Week in Review - November 3 - 7

This week in Writers Workshop we continued to get a picture in our mind. We have been talking about writing about small moments, true things that have happened to us. It's difficult for us to write about *all* of our stay home days, but we can write about one small moment that happens during our stay home days.

Audrey wrote about going to the bookstore with her mom (AM)
Anna continued to work on her story about going in the corn maze (AM)
Caeden wrote about trick-or-treating (PM)
Luke wrote about driving to the lake house (PM)
We read a lot of books about being thankful this week. We also created Thankful Plates. Students cut out pictures to represent things they are thankful for.

Darius's Thankful Plate Full (PM)
Daphnie's Thankful Plate Full (PM)
Miles's Thankful Plate Full (AM)
Lauralee's Thankful Plate Full (AM)
John's Thankful Plate Full (AM)
Oscar's Thankful Plate Full (PM)
Our Letter of the Week was a hit! Students were excited to learn all about the letter Ll. On Monday, we watched the Starfall Ll "video." On Tuesday, we guessed items that were in the Mystery Box.

On Wednesday, we used the magnifying glass to find pictures that started with Ll on the SMARTBoard.

The magnifying glass only worked on items that started with L
The magnifying glass did not work on items that did not start with L
On Thursday, we wrote our L and drew one item that began with Ll. We then read our books together! Students were beyond excited to hear that K4 students could read!
