Last week in Writers Workshop we talked about thought bubbles. This week we talked how to show that characters are talking with speech bubbles.

| Annabelle's speech bubble (AM) |
| Ivy's speech bubble (PM) |
In Readers Workshop we continued to identify characters' problems.
We continued to work on pets this week. We read "If You Were a Parrot," created parrots, and wrote a speech bubble for them.
| I want a grape (Kalin AM) |
| I want a cracker (Annabelle AM) |
| I love mom (Alissyn AM) |
| Dentist (Carson PM) |
| No (Jackson PM) |
As a class we sorted pets and non-pets.
We graphed what type of pet we had and if it was an outside pet, or an inside pet.
| AM's what kind of pet do you have graph |
| PM's what kind of pet do you have graph |
| AM's inside/outside pet graph |
| PM's inside/outside pet graph |

Our letter of the week next week is Vv (hi smiley, big line slides down, big line slides up).
Please remember to complete 10 activities on the April homework calendar. Be sure to color in the raindrops for each 5-10 minutes your child reads.
Zoo permission slips are due Tuesday, April 8th!
I am looking for glass jars for a project. Please send in any medium - large glass jars (with the label removed).
Have a great weekend!
Love,
Mrs. Koscielniak
