This week we talked a lot about the Native Americans and Pilgrims. We started the week by sorting things that people did/had then and what people do/have now!
| AM's sort |
| PM's sort |
Students then made a pilgrim and wrote about a similarity of difference.
| Pilgrims children are the same as us because we all play with dolls (Reagan AM) |
| Pilgrim children are different than us because their family did not have a phone (Ben M. PM) |
| Pilgrim children are different than us because we have different shoes (Josh AM) |
| Pilgrim children are different than us because they rode in different boats (Noah AM) |
To prepare for the feast, students made a grateful gobbler placement and wrote about something they were grateful for.
| Regan is grateful for her sister (AM) |
| Addy is grateful for her cat (AM) |
| Alex is grateful for his brother (AM) |
| Audrey is grateful for her dog (AM) |
| Darius is grateful for his brother (PM) |
| Caeden is grateful for his house (PM) |
| Claire is grateful for her bed (PM) |
| Oscar is grateful for his mommy and daddy (PM) |
On Friday, we dressed like pilgrims and enjoyed our feast! We had a blast!

Our little pilgrims are so darling! I love your blog, makes me feel like I was a part of today even though I was working.
