Information

Since we had conferences this week, I figured this would be a good time to share some resources/updates with families.

Halloween Celebration

On Thursday, October 31, our class will have our Halloween Celebration. Children are invited to *bring* their costumes to school and we will change into them before the celebration.  Once in our costumes, students will parade through the K5 classrooms and office. After we parade, we will come back to the classroom and make our Witches' Brew that we will eat for snack.

Parents are invited to come to help students change into their costumes and watch the parade. Parents will watch the parade from the office. If you would like to come, please arrive at 9:30 (AM) and 12:50 (PM). If you are a PM parent and wish to send your child in their costume, I am okay with that. We will change out of our costumes right after our celebration.

Fresh Fruit Friday and Mystery Reader

Please continue to sign up for Mystery Reader and Fresh Fruit Fridays. It would be great if each family could sign up for at least two slots for both the Mystery Reader and Fresh Fruit. Please remember, the mystery reader can be anyone (grandparent, sibling, etc). The links can be found on the right hand side of the blog (under links).

Helpful Websites

If you are looking for a free educational website for your child, starfall.com is a great choice (also on the right hand side of the blog under links). There is an option to purchase a license for more.starfall.com as well.

If you would like more information about our handwriting program, please visit http://www.hwtears.com/hwt/parents.
